Hindsight

Man oh man, was I ever depressed with my first bog post!  In hind-sight, I never would have written it like that, but depression can be a real ~!@#$.  My point was that I as well as a lot of us need to get off of our butts...and our "buts" and stop turning a blind eye when we see a child that is clearly in trouble or even might be in trouble.  Some of the signs that could indicate a child is in danger could be things like:

• child's clothes are dirty a lot or his/her hair is often uncombed
• child seems hungry often or even steals or hides food
• child is overly tired often
• child has bruises or cuts or signs of many old wounds
• child has promiscious behavior or exhibits inappropriate touching or play with self or others
• child seems frequently sad or withdrawn

I am not an expert, but these are just a few of the things I can think of off the top of my head.  What else can we look for?  Feel free to comment, bloggers.  Let's take care of the children together.
